Person of the Year Gene Crane
November 21, 2003
at the Bala Golf Club

On Friday, November 21, 2003, the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia held its annual PERSON OF THE YEAR/HALL OF FAME banquet. The event took place at the Bala Golf Club near City Line Avenue in Philadelphia. Almost everyone who was anyone in Philadelphia broadcasting was there and it was a sell-out crowd.

Our PERSON OF THE YEAR for 2003 was Broadcast Pioneers member Gene Crane. Our five inductees into our HALL OF FAME for that year were: Jane King Hall, Rob Jennings, Tom Lamaine, Hy Lit and Bob Perkins.

Here's 20 photos of the event!

Gene's son, David Crane (creator of "Friends") introduced his dad.

Broadcast Pioneers Board Member Jane King Hall was also inducted into our Hall of Fame that evening. However, she was under the weather that night. Her son, Bob Hall, accepted the honor on her behalf.
