at the Bala Golf Club, Philadelphia

On Wednesday, June 18, 2003, the founders and partners of Philadelphia-based Banyan Productions were our speakers. The meeting was held, as usual, at the Bala Golf Club in the Wynnefield section of Philadelphia.

Banyan produces 500 hours of cable programming per year. "Trading Spaces" is just one of their many shows which run on "The Learning Channel," Discovery and HGTV; just to name a few.

Jan, a native of the Delaware Valley, before starting Banyan worked at several TV stations around town. Susan, Jan's wife, was Executive Producer of KYW-TV's "Evening Magazine" which was co-hosted by Ray Murray. All three are members of the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia.

In 2015, we re-encoded the original tape into a new computer file. While it is vastly better than what we had before, it still leaves a lot to be desired. It was originally recorded on VHS tape, slow speed. The camera's microphone picked up the audio from the room's audio speakers.

However, since we don't have a time machine (at least yet), it is the best we can do. It is a big improvement over what video was previously available. You can watch the entire luncheon from our YouTube Channel!

Watch the video!

For those interested in just listening to the audio, we have complete audio of their remarks. It is available in the Real Audio format only.

Listen!
