RJ, Ron Joseph and Dick Clark
at the WFIL-TV Studios
46th and Market Streets in Philadelphia
June 1960

This picture was taken in June of 1960, right around the time that Broadcast Pioneers member Ron Joseph (RJ) was graduated from Upper Darby High School. It was at the first Bandstand reunion show and took place at the WFIL-TV studios. By the way, RJ is holding a picture of himself at the age of three. A point of interest is that Ron was telling Dick Clark that he, RJ, had just been hired for his first paid radio job as the nighttime air personality on WEEZ in suburban Philadelphia.

Dick Clark was named PERSON OF THE YEAR in 1980 by the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia and inducted into our HALL OF FAME in 1992.
