On Saturday, January 5, 1952, Tom Rodgers (who would later go to WFIL Radio) did the Saturday Night Sports Edition. It was carried over both KYW AM & FM. It followed the news which you can listen to here!

Whatever happened to KYW-FM? Well, according to Broadcast Pioneers member John Roberts, Westinghouse was losing money with their FM station and they thought they had a smart idea. Donate it to someone and take the loss as a tax writeoff. They did and their license went to an upstart operation in Philadelphia, WHYY Radio.
