Dennis Bianchi

Broadcast Pioneers member Dennis Bianchi is Vice President and General Manager of WTXF-FOX 29 television in Philadelphia. Prior to joining FOX 29 in February, 2012, he was President and General Manager of NBC 10/WCAU-TV in Philadelphia. There, in addition to running WCAU, he oversaw NBC Philadelphia Nonstop, the around-the-clock local information and lifestyle channel, as well as NBCPhiladelphia.com. Prior to that, he was Chief Quality Officer for NBC in New York, where he headed up the company’s Six Sigma Quality initiative. Earlier in his career, Bianchi served as Vice President of Finance and later Chief Financial Officer for NBC Asia based in Hong Kong.

He began his career with NBC in 1982 at the network’s then-owned station in Cleveland, and later worked with the network’s Television Stations Division in a number of financial management roles.

Bianchi is a past Chairman and current member of the Police Athletic League of Philadelphia’s Board of Directors. He also serves on the Board of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania, Urban League of Philadelphia, St. Christopher’s Foundation for Children, Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters and the Philadelphia Ad Club.

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Bianchi graduated from Boston College in 1981, with a B.S. in Finance. He resides with his wife and two children in Haverford, PA.
