The Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia Luncheon
Wednesday, October 17, 2007

This is the first program in a series of webcasts about the people who made Philadelphia broadcasting what it is. It's our third series of "Oral History" programs. This series hosted by former President of the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia Pat Delsi is called "Pioneering Visions."

On Wednesday, March 19, 2008, after our luncheon which celebrated 60 Years of Channel 10, we sat down with Broadcast Pioneers member Jimmy Hirschfeld and talked about his career here in Philadelphia where he worked with John Facenda, Gene London and Pixanne, just to name a few. After leaving Philadelphia, he went on to direct shows for Mary Tyler Moore and Bill Cosby and Executive Produce "Captain Kangaroo."
