PERRY CASCIATO

For the past 20 years, Perry Casciato has worked in Philadelphia behind the scenes at 6ABC, CBS3 and The CW Philly. He has been an Account Executive overseeing client marketing campaigns, a Program Director and, most recently, Director of Programming Operations for the CBS Television Station group, serving as the programming liaison to the master control hub in Atlanta. While his daily contributions are critical to the organizational success of the television stations, it’s Casciato’s unwavering commitment to helping the community that deserves to be recognized.

Since joining CBS, Casciato helped enhance the Philadelphia stations’ range of community outreach projects including telecasts of the Philadelphia St. Patrick’s Day Parade; Philadelphia’s New Year’s Eve Fireworks display; Philadelphia’s celebration of the Ben Franklin Tercentenary; the station’s Kidcaster and Science Center outreach programs as well as major fundraising efforts on behalf of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, The Ronald McDonald House Charities and The Salvation Army.

As Executive Producer for CBS3’s Alex Scott: A Stand For Hope Telethon and the Ronald McDonald Change the Luck of a Child Telethon, Perry continues to manage every aspect of day-long on-air fundraising efforts that, over the course of 12 years, have raised a combined total of $40,651,752 to benefit both the Alex Scott Lemonade Foundation and Ronald McDonald House Charities. He works tirelessly to make sure families affected by serious illness are honored. He works with the charities to make sure their stories are being told in emotionally compelling ways. He works at a fast pace under tight deadlines, managing the comings and goings of hundreds of volunteers, guests, and sponsors with a sense of peace and calm.

Outside work, Casciato is committed to sharing his knowledge with students at Drexel University’s graduate course in television programming. An Adjunct Professor for 8 years, Casciato has been charged with developing course curriculum focusing on the history of television programming and television ratings, plus network, local and syndicated television businesses.

Before moving to Philly, Casciato was Division Manager at 20th Television; the programming syndication arm of 20th Century FOX, and was an Associate Director at the ABC Television Network, supervising affiliate relations for the Northeast. He began his career as a Research Analyst at TeleRep Inc in New York City in 1989.

Casciato is a 1988 graduate of Syracuse University’s S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. He and his wife, Susan, reside in Harleysville, Pennsylvania. Their daughter, Ali, attends West Chester University.
