Diane Cameron Feinberg
Diane Cameron Feinberg, a trailblazer for women who sought careers in the technical realm of the television industry, joined CBS 3 on August 23, 1973 doing vacation relief and became a permanent employee two years later.
In her career she has held numerous positions including stage manager, studio camera operator, film editor, make-up artist and set builder. Diane made history in 1976 as the first female stage manager, camera operator, and back stage manager for the nationally-syndicated Michael Douglas Show.
Her career has put her at the center of most of the market’s major televised events as stage manager for New Year’s Eve Fireworks broadcasts from 2013 through 2015, the World Meetings of Families Papal Mass with Pope Francis in 2015, the broadcast of the Race for the Cure in 2016 and the Democratic National Convention coverage in 2016.
Throughout her long-standing career in broadcasting, Diane has ventured into the freelance world as stage manager for various Nickelodeon television shows including Double Dare, Super Sloppy Double Dare, and Finders Keepers from 1986 until 1989.
Additionally, from 1997 until 2003, Diane served as stage manager for hit shows on the Discovery Channel including Home Matters, Epicurious, and Furniture Guys.
Her long list of credits also includes the 1980 broadcast of the Papal Mass celebrated by John Paul II on Logan Square, the Philadelphia broadcast of Meet the Press during the Bicentennial, The Tomorrow Show with Tom Snyder and the broadcast of the Parade of Tall Ships in Philadelphia.
In addition to her experience with CBS 3, Diane has worked at other local news stations including 6abc, NBC10, Fox 29, and WHYY.
Diane is a graduate of Philadelphia High School for Girls and Temple University where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the School of Communications.
She and her husband, Robert, have two children, a son, Derek and daughter, Carrie, and are the proud grandparents to Luca and Julia.
