The Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia

Frank Goldstein retired from NBC10 in 2002 following a career of more than 30 years in broadcasting and broadcast journalism with CBS and NBC in Philadelphia.

His experiences have taken him from the White House to the battlefield in Syria. He has been in the eye of seven hurricanes and flown with the famed "Hurricane Hunters."

As an editor and news and documentary cinematographer, Frank has been nominated for two regional Emmy awards and won many local, national and international awards, including two Cine Golden Eagles.

Frank has also worked as a producer and director for clients including the Philadelphia Marriott and United Way and his work received theVideographer Communicator Award of Excellence and several Telly Awards for his efforts in these fields.

Frank was twice elected to represent more than 400 Broadcast Technicians who worked at six television and radio stations in the Greater Delaware Valley.

As the CEO of IBEW Local 1241, Frank managed a diverse community of legal agreements as well as people. As a labor advocate, Frank has an insiders’ view of varied business management operations in the broadcast industry. This provides a “best practices” perspective on workflow and human resources few industry leaders ever attain.
