THANK YOU:

As we do every month, we want to thank Broadcast Pioneers member Johnny B. Hall for his monthly cash donation to our DAP, Digital Archival Project. We especially appreciate it since Johnny has doubled the amount he was giving us last year at this time. Thanks, Johnny! His annual donations total $1,200 annually. Our Digital Archival Project keeps on moving along.

We also want to thank the good people at WPVI for hosting our second (and final) scholarship committee meeting for this year and providing the committee members with lunch, drinks and a bunch of goodies. Thanks. We appreciate it (and we loved those huge chocolate chip cookies)..

Also, our special thanks go to a very special person, Board Member Michael Nise. Since 2004, Michael has been storing Broadcast Pioneers archival items for FREE at his Omni 2000 facilities in Camden, NJ. We sincerely express our thanks and gratitude for this unselfless act. People like Michael are just one important reason why Broadcast Pioneers has been able to achieve our success with our DAP, Digital Archival Project. Thanks, Michael, and kudos to his assistant, Chrystel Eberts.

Member Michael Muderick deserves extra special credit. As most of you know, the Omni 2000 building in Camden is becoming part of the Camden campus of Rutgers University. This meant that we had to move our physical archive (not the digital archive) from Nise's facilities to our new location a dozen miles away. Muderick handled with great skill the bulk of the supervision the move and directing the movers. Without his tireless efforts, the move would not have been a success. Thanks, Michael.

We also wish to thank new members Bruce Greenberg, Art Metzler and Cherie Bank for the extra nice and generous cash gifts they gave when joining. Thanks, guys. It is appreciated and will go a long way in helping underwrite all of our activities.

Ed Guthrie mailed us an original VHS tape of the sign-off of WKBS-TV. He also included the 11 pm news clip from Channel 3 about Channel 48 going dark. Thanks, Ed. It's a wonderful addition to our video archive.

Member Steve Levy donated a nice sized box of VHS tapes that he dragged back from his place in Colorado. Going through the box, we found many nice items. Wow! This is great stuff. Steve, by the way, has told us that he'll soon be going through his Delaware Valley home looking for more. We're ready any time you are, Steve.

If we left you out, it was an error--but also a testament to how much material we're receiving these days. Our apologies and many thanks.

If you forgot to make an extra contribution (cash or memorabilia) and would like to do so now, it's never too late. We would be thrilled to hear from you at: PO Box 2886, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
