May 9, 2001

On Wednesday, May 9, 2001, the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia awarded three scholarships to area college students at our monthly meeting at the Bala Golf Club in Philadelphia. After lunch and the presentations of the scholarship awards, we had no speaker. Instead, we had entertainment. Pretty Perky Peggy King who was the girl vocalist on The George Gobel Show in the fifties, performed about a dozen songs.
