On Friday evening, June 23, 2006, at the Bala Golf Club, the Philadelphia Press Association honored the winners of the association's awards. Some broadcasters won including Larry Mendte, Walt Hunter and Pat Ciarrocchi, all from Channel 3 and all members of the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia. Here's some photos from the event.

Randy Brock worked at WOLF in Syracuse, NY, WMEX in Boston and KBTR in Denver at then WPOP in Hartford. Then Brock came to Philadelphia and WFIL, Famous 56 where he stayed for a couple of years before joining KYW Newsradio. In 2006, he was News Director of WNPV in Lansdale, a suburb of Philly.

An interesting sidebar is that Pat Delsi gave Mike DeNardo his first job in the broadcasting business when Pat owned WSSJ Radio in Camden, New Jersey, DeNardo's hometown.
