WCAU Radio Studio "A" in 1927

This photo was taken when WCAU was only five years old. It's Studio A and was in Center City at 10th and Arch Streets, in Philadelphia. The picture was taken shortly after Leon Levy bought out Daniel Murphy, Isaac Levy's first partner. WCAU, at that time was a 500 watt station. It was operating at 1090 khz and changed to 1080 khz just about the time of this snapshot.
