John Bolaris
on the 11 pm NBC10 newscast

During the end of October of 2002, NBC-10 weathercaster John Bolaris announced that he would be leaving WCAU, Channel 10 in Philadelphia (the NBC O&O) to return to weather duties on the 4:30 pm, 5 pm, 6 pm and 11 pm newscasts on WCBS-TV, Channel 2 in New York City (the CBS O&O). Bolaris was at WCBS-TV previous to his arrival here in Philadelphia.

On Wednesday, November 27, 2002, on the 11 pm newscast on NBC-10, John Bolaris said goodbye to his Philadelphia audience.

Bolaris was replaced by Broadcast Pioneers member Glenn "Hurricane" Schwartz, a native Philadelphian and a graduate of Central High School.
