There was no reason to wait for the 7th inning stretch. All the excitement and fun was right there from the very beginning. A"Tribute to Bill Campbell," that legendary broadcaster for two-thirds of a century, was our January 2015 luncheon.

Our MC for the afternoon was Campbell Family friend and Broadcast Pioneers Member Bill Roswell, Director of Digital News and Media for KYW Newsradio.

Dan Baker, former Eagles & current Philadelphia Phillies stadium announcer
Sam Carchidi, Inquirer sportswriter who also wrote a book about Bill Campbell
Joe Conklin, the comedian with over one thousand voices - he loves sports
Ray Didinger, award-winning sports guy & a member of the Football Hall of Fame
Tom Lamaine, former Sports Guy and meteorologist for KYW-TV, CBS 3
Joe Pellegrino, former Sports Director for Action News and TV10 Sports Guy
Merrill Reese, GM of WBCB Radio & the voice of the Philadelphia Eagles
Chris Wheeler, former on-air Phillies announcer and Color Commentator

This all took place at the beautiful and historic Bala Golf Club, 2200 Belmont Avenue (across the street from the state police) in the Wynnefield section of Philadelphia. Only minutes away from Channels 6, 10 and 17 and the radio stations in Bala Cynwyd.
