"Jerry's Place"
1968
In the late sixties, member Jerry Blavat had a daily television show on WFIL-TV, Channel 6. It was called, "Jerry's Place." He had entertainers on the show. They sang. They performed. There were dancers. There were talk segments.
It was basically a spotlight for the talent of Jerry Blavat, the Geator with the Heater. He's the Boss with the Hot Sauce and often called, "The King of Philly Rock and Roll."
The above photo was taken by WFIL Producer/Director Mike Nozilo, a member of this organization. It was actually a color slide and while it's almost 50 years old, the colors are stillbright and brilliant.
