The Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia

Steve Fredericks from WCAU Radio (1210 on the AM Radio Dial) broadcasting live from one of the Delaware Valley area malls during the 1984 Neighborhood Holiday Fund. Fredericks at that time was WCAU's Sports Director. The Neighborhood Holiday Fund event ran for several years during the early and mid-eighties on WCAU (AM), WCAU-FM and WCAU-TV. At that time, all three had the same owner, CBS. The stations said that it was their way to give back to the community and local neighborhoods.
