In February of 1953, Broadcast Pioneers member Charlie Gracie appeared on "The Children's Hour," a simulcast on WCAU Radio and TV. The program was hosted by Stan Lee Broza and originated live from the WCAU studios every Sunday morning.
At the time, Charlie Gracie was a young lad from South Philly, but his real claim to fame was his hit recordings for the Cameo-Parkway label in the late fifties. We have a short excerpt of that 1953 broadcast featuring Charlie Gracie and Stan Lee Broza (one of the founders of the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia).
