Bill Wright, Sr.
February 16, 2005
From September of 1965, here's a WIBG jingle with station well known air personality Bill Wright, Sr. talking over the outro. "The Rebel Wright," by the way, is a member of the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia.
We called Bill to see if he could shed some light on what exactly he was talking about in this piece. Bill remarked that he had to be waiting for a woman because he would NEVER wait 90 minutes for a man. He said that he was "playing the field" at that time. He also said that he could hear anger in his voice and that was so unlike him that he even wonders if the remark got on the air by mistake.
