Broadcast Pioneers member Paul Norton had a long career in Philadelphia, first in radio and then in television. He was a first voice heard when WFIL Radio became "Famous 56." He was a weekend "Boss Jock" for a few months before moving into television on Channel 6. On WFIL-TV, he hosted many types of programs and he stayed with the station when they became WPVI-TV. In the eighties and nineties, Paul hosted a show called "Perspectives." On many occasions, Norton had the U.S. Senator from Delaware on the program, Joe Biden. Biden appeared so often on the program as a newsmaker that they also developed a personal, friendly relationship. This photo shows the two from 1985.
