Broadcast Pioneers Jerry Del Colliano, while still in college was a booth announcer at WFIL-TV, Channel 6 in Philadelphia (now WPVI). The station aired "The Fugitive" at 10 pm on Tuesday evenings. Most of the time, when they carried the Phillies games, they simply pre-empted the ABC-TV lineup.

However, on August 22nd and August 29th of 1967, they didn't do that. Why? Because these were the last two episodes of the TV series and it was the trial of Dr. Richard Kimble. So, about 12:30 am, on both days, the station aired "The Fugitive" on a delayed basis.

Because of the late hour, one of our members, Gerry Wilkinson, recorded the programs on audio tape (home video taping didn't exist yet). Wilkinson and Del Colliano both went to Temple University and Wilkinson had an 8:30 am class on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. So he elected to get some sleep and listen to the audio of the TV show the next day.

Only because of that does the following audio exist. Jerry Del Colliano was doing the live booth announcing at Channel 6 when both of the episodes of "The Fugitive" aired. We have the audio from the station ID announced by Del Colliano which came half way through the program (about 1 am).
