Larry Ferrari

On Sunday, August 1, 1993, Channel 6, WPVI aired a 40th anniversary show for television personality Larry Ferrari from 7 am to 7:30. Larry, a member of the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia until his death, started at the station in 1953 when it was owned by the Philadelphia Inquirer and Walter Annenberg and was called WFIL-TV. At the end of each of Ferrari's broadcasts, he always played a religious selection. On this date, it was "Ave Maria."
