This photo dates from 1968 and shows Broadcast Pioneers member Jerry Blavat, the Geator with the Heater and the Police Commissioner of Philadelphia, Frank Rizzo. Rizzo later went on the serve two terms as Mayor of the city. After his terms in office, Frank went on to start a new career, that of radio telephone-talk host. His daily afternoon program was carried for several years on WCAU, 1210 on the AM dial, the CBS O & O station in Philadelphia.

Interesting sidebar...Frank's son is following in the footsteps of the senior Rizzo. Frannie is a Philadelphia City Councilman and a radio telephone talk host on WWDB, 860 on Philadelphia's AM dial.
