Jim O'Brien was one of the most beloved TV and radio personalities in the Philadelphia broadcast market. Here's a photo of Channel 6's weather guy Jim O'Brien taken at Veteran's Stadium in 1980 as he cheered on the Philadelphia Phillies to their first World Series victory.

Jim came to Philadelphia as one of the WFIL Radio boss jocks. However, it was when WPVI-TV's Action News made him their prime-time weather personality that he really became a legend. Jim O'Brien was inducted into the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia Hall of Fame in 1997.
