On September 10, 1998, WPVI, Channel 6 in Philadelphia, aired their 50th anniversary broadcast. Part of that program had excerpts of vintage WFIL-TV kid's programs dating from the late forties and the fifties. There's Paul Whiteman, Happy the Clown, Chief Halftown and Sally Starr. The clip is narrated by WPVI personality Cecily Tynan. All date from when the station was WFIL-TV (now WPVI) and owned by the Philadelphia Inquirer.
