Our latest Broadcast Pioneers luncheon was a "Spring Potpourri of Broadcasting!" It was held at the Bala Golf Club, 2200 Belmont Avenue in Philadelphia on Wednesday, April 17th (that's the third Wednesday of the month).
We had scheduled three marvelous speakers for your enjoyment. All three are members of the Broadcast Pioneers. They are (in alphabetical order):
Jim Loftus, Vice-President for CBS Radio and their group in Philly
Monica Malpass, longtime news anchor for Action News, WPVI
Bill Roswell, Director of Digital News and Media for KYW Newsradio
Our MC for the afternoon was Broadcast Pioneers member Harry Hurley, the king of South Jersey talk radio.

Plus, we awarded seventeen $1,000 scholarships during the luncheon. All of our scholarship winners were with us at our April luncheon. Broadcast Pioneers member Diego Castellanos hosted that portion of the program.
It all took place at the beautiful and historic Bala Golf Club, 2200 Belmont Avenue (across the street from the State Police) in the Wynnefield section of Philadelphia. Only minutes away from Channels 6, 10 and 17 and the radio stations in Bala Cynwyd.
We plan to upload photos and video real soon, so please keep checking back and make plans to attend our next luncheon on May 15th.
